NBC Sports and the USA Network aired the first live full-coverage broadcasts of the Ryder Cup in 1991 at the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island (S.C.) Golf Resort. The U.S. Team captured the Ryder Cup that year after Europe's Bernhard Langer missed a six-foot putt for par that would have won them the trophy.
